Two of the tools I have never used before - Vialogue and Fotobabble

  • Great assessment tool 
  • Can be used with Flipped classroom model
  • Students can self-pace
  • Keep track of students’ mastery and readiness to move on 
  • Let’s teachers know which students need more review

Vialogue
  • Free
  • Can upload your own videos
  • Choose from library of “vialogues”
  • Share through links, embed and social media
  • Allows comments and questions from viewers/students
  • Teacher can add questions to videos for assessment
  • Students can watch video and self-pace.
  • Can search for videos by topic
  • Can create groups
Students will need to create an Edlab account to watch and comment on videos

Doesn’t seem to be a way to set-up classes

Can create groups but can only add people that have accounts (from what I can tell)
Great Discussion tool
Assess student knowledge based on comments and or/ answers to questions added to video
Students can watch and self-pace

  • Size limit on pics
  • Students need to set -up accounts 
  • For younger students teacher could create a class account
  • Digital StoryTelling
  • Online Art Show - take pics of art and student can create voice-over about it
  • Short book review
  • Beginning of the year introductions

Says you can create slideshows - cannot figure out how to do this yet
