Check Out the Windows 10 Snipping Tool

One of the most versatile tools in Windows 10 is the Snipping Tool which allows you to quickly and easily take pictures of things on your screen.  These screenshots can be saved for using later in presentations, documents or other programs.  You can also copy and paste the images without saving.

I use the Snipping Tool to take screenshots all the time when I'm creating directions or cheat sheets.  I take screenshots of items that can be used in my educator evidence portfolio, then upload or attach  the images to a note in Evernote.  Get an error message on your computer - use the Snipping Tool to capture the message and attach it the Tech Support Request form.

Annotate Screenshots using the pen or highlighter tool.  Remove annotations with the eraser tool.

There are several snip modes as shown in the image below.
Free form - Draw free form shape around object
Rectangle - Drag rectangle shape around object
Window - Select an open window or dialogue box
Full-screen - Capture the entire screen
