Change Case of Text in Google Doc

Have you ever typed a paragraph or even a page of text and then realize “caps lock” was on? Well here’s a quick and easy way to change the “case” of text in a Google doc.

  • First create a new blank document in Google Docs or open an existing document.
  • Click “Add-ons” in the toolbar and then select “Get add-ons”.
  • Enter “change case” in the search box and then press the enter
  • Click on the blue Free button to add Change Case to your Add-ons list (click allow at the on-screen prompt)
  • Change Case will now be available on your Add-ons list
  • Now that it’s added, just highlight or select any text in your document that you wish to change case
  • Click Add-ons, Change Case and the following menu will appear
  • Choose the case option that you want - you will see a “working message” pop up and the text will be changed
That’s it!
Note: The Change Case Add-on will now always appear in your Add-ons menu.
