Type to Insert

Ever wonder what the above prompt means?  You’ve probably noticed this when you open a new Google Doc and once you start typing it disappears.

Basically you can type the @ symbol anywhere in a Google Doc to quickly insert images, special characters, numbered lists, tables, and more.  Simply place the cursor where you want to insert or start using a tool, type the @ symbol and scroll through the pop up menu that appears (with mouse or arrow keys), then click on the item.  That’s it.  Here is a short clip that shows how.
