Use the "Create a Question” feature in Classroom



Here are few ways you can use the “Create a Question” feature in Classroom



DISCUSSION STARTER

Post a question in Classroom as a discussion starter to engage students in meaningful talk. Let them reply to each other by turning on the “Students can reply to each other feature”



CLASS WARM-UP
Use Questions to get the class “warmed up” or as a “show what you know” about a new topic. You may want to try the Multiple choice option for this.
Note: Turn off the “Students can reply to each other feature
EXIT TICKET
Post a question as a formative assessment tool to help guide future instruction. (You may even want to try the multiple choice feature for this

**The Question feature offers a couple of different answer options - short answer or multiple choice**

Here’s how to set it up

  • Choose the + and then choose Create Question

  • Enter the question and any instructions.
  • Make sure the Students can reply to each other feature is turned on for discussions.
  • Assign Due Date and Topic if applicable
  • Change answer options (short answer or multiple choice)
  • Click Ask
